N.Y.C. Mayor Bloomberg Defends “Stop-And-Frisk” Policy

The country has made it clear that some of these current frisk and pullover laws are a violation of civil rights, New York Mayor Bloomberg stands by his “Stop And Frisk” law which gives the police department the right to pullover Black and Hispanic people without fair reason. Mayor Bloomberg states:

“I understand why some people are calling for the stops to be eliminated entirely, but there’s no denying that the stops take guns of the streets and save lives,” “To borrow a phrase from President Clinton, I believe the practice need to be ‘mended, not ended’ to ensure that stops are conducted appropriately with as much courtesy as possible.”
