A Michigan woman continued to get food stamps after she won the million dollar lottery. Currently, the 25- year- old Amanda Clayton of Lincoln Park is facing two felony charges. If found guilty she could spend up to 4 years in prison.
Her actions was brought to light by a Detroit TV station WDIV. During the interview with WDIV she explains,
“I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn’t, I thought maybe it was okay because I’m not working … I feel that it’s okay because I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay. I have two houses … It’s just hard, you know. I’m struggling”.
With her winning Amanda has bought a new car and a house. It’s a shame that she can’t buy some groceries every month.
