Just this afternoon, Tom Ross, the president of the University of North Caroline issued a recommendation for the increase of tuition and fees for the educational institution set to begin in the 2012-2013 academic year averaging at about 8.8 percent. President Ross claims he wants the tuition increases to become active along with seven other schools in the UNC system to be under 10 percent at each of them.
While the increase in tuition and fees is scheduled to be voted on this February, many students matriculating throughout to system are already feeling the brunt end of the educational bargain. Before you start feeling like you’re throwing your money down the toilet, let’s discuss it.
