Emily B calls in to TT Torrez’s show for her Girl Talk segment where she dishes about she came about being on Love & Hip Hop, whether Somaya can really rap, her and Fabolous’ relationship and more ! Check it out:
On how she was casted for Love & Hip Hop:
Originally Misa Hylton Brim (one of Diddy’s baby mama) approached Emily about doing the show and said they are friends. She said it was supposed to be Misa on the show instead of Somaya. After Misa decided not to do the show, Somaya was thrown in as a wild card.
On if she would do Season 2:
She said she would love to come back for Season 2 so she can show her growth from what was shown on tv which was shot over a year ago. She said she now knows what not to do.
On if Somaya can rap:
She said NO! She doesn’t think rap is her lane. She’s more of an entertainer. She’s great at what she does.
On if she and Chrissy were friends before Love & Hip Hop:
She said she and Chrissy weren’t friends before the show but they clicked once they met and are friends now. Mashonda and Emily have been friends for years and she says she’s really a true girlfriend.
On Fabolous getting his own reality show:
They shot a 7-minute pilot about him working as a rapper and being a new father. She said she was on it as his girlfriend. Fab ended up not doing the reality show so Emily joined Love & Hip Hop.
On her and Fab’s relationship:
They have been together for 9 years. She’s originally from Norfolk, Va and met him through Pharell when he was working on his 2nd album. She said both of their fathers are Dominican and were from the same neighborhood. They dated for 3 years and then she moved to New York to be with him.
She said she had a daughter before Fab and she’s 13 now. She put rumors of her father not taking care of her daughter to rest saying her father DOES take care of her and is a great father.
On if Fab kicked her out the house and if she’s dating Darrelle Revis
She said that’s not true. She said she’s not homeless and also she’s NOT dating Darrelle Revis. How can she be homeless if she’s dating Darrelle Revis? She also mentioned Fab is NOT engaged.
On the rumor that Fab is dating a chic in Philly:
She said Soniya is NOT the real girlfriend of Fab. She said her name has been coming up in every interview she’s been doing. She jokingly said her and Soniya are in the same boat because he’s not claiming nobody. She said the fact that he didn’t talk about her in interviews was what she needed to talk about and get off her chest on Love & Hip Hop.
On if she battled infidelity in her relationship with Fabolous:
She said she’s not in denial about her story. She said she told her truth because it was a struggle for her. She said the power of editing made her look like she was stupid and had no idea what was going on. She said he’s a great father and he’s a different man today.
On Fab rapping one thing and living another:
She said she understood why he couldn’t really talk about her because he was rapping about being with different women and a certain lifestyle. Him talking about his family would contradict what he was rapping about. She thinks he doesn’t want people to think he’s fake because he wasn’t living what he was rapping about.
On being his wife:
She said she hopes she’s a wife one day. She said she has dreams to be married and she believes in love and her family. She said her son is 3 years old now.
On what she’s working on outside of Love & Hip Hop:
She’s styling Terrance J (106 & Park), Red Cafe, Teairra Mari and Fab of course. She’s also working on an affordable and chic clothing line titled Emily B. It should drop early next year.
